Overview
All clubs are required to register their Dojo with the BAB and so obtain a "green slip" as proof. Registration provides cover against public liability claims. A separate green slip should be in place for each venue you habitually train at. Its not required for ad-hoc venues such as one off courses.
The Membership Secretary will contact Club Leaders early in the month prior to renewal to confirm they wish to renew their Venue registration. Club Leaders to ensure funds are forwarded to Lancashire Aikikai for the Clubs share of the fees due, for those Clubs who have not paid their Venue registration with their Annual Return submitted in January.
For a new venue or change of venue detail of the Dojo's address must be provided.
BAB Venue Registration fee is £15 per annum wef Summer 2025. Prior to that £50 with 50% payable by each Club and 50% subsidised by Lancashire Aikikai.
The details of Venue Registration will be processed and submitted to the BAB with the relevant monthly return.
Each Club Leader will receive email confirmation direct from the BAB of the renewal of their venue insurance.
Club Leaders of new venues or venues being renewed via the online system for the first time will be asked by the BAB to validate their details held by the BAB as a one off exercise. You should remember the password you set up on the BAB website as it forms part of their log-in to access other services.
The Membership Secretary will forward the venue renewal details to Club Leaders providing the certificate number and expiry date and a link to access and print/save their BAB Venue Certificate.
(Note the Club Leader may nominate another Club Official to stand in their place – if you do that the Club Leader should confirm this by email to the Membership Secretary.)
If a Club changes the location of its Dojo the Membership Secretary should be informed promptly. The Membership Secretary will make the necessary amendments to the Club Venue details on the BAB system and obtain a new Club Venue Registration Certificate, which will be forwarded to the Club Leader.
Process for New Venue Registration and Renewals

Each Club Leader will receive email confirmation direct from the BAB of the renewal of their venue insurance Note: All current Club Leaders should have already verified their Venue details as all Venues were renewed in the August/September 2023 return submitted online.
The Membership Secretary will forward details for the venue renewal to Club Leaders which will include the Venue, the certificate number, expiry date, and a link to access and print/save the Venue Registration Certificate.
